A famous historical person

Hello!
Now I will tell you about an historical person in USA, and I have chosen to write about Marilyn Monroe because I have heard a little bit about her before and she seemed to be talented women as long as she lived. 

Marilyn Monroe was a very important woman. She was born in Los Angeles, California 1.June in 1926. Marilyn was married with James Dougherty when she only was 16 years old, it’s so early!  Marilyn was an American actress, film producer, model and a sex symbol. She starred in in many different movies, and later she became one of the most popular movie stars in Hollywood. She wanted to get control over her own career so after a while she started her own production company. Personal problems and illness was characterized the last years of her life, also that Marilyn Monroe was difficult to work with. She had it very hard with herself for years.


 
In her childhood, her last name was “Baker”, just because her mother wanted that all her 3 children should have the same last name. Marilyn grew up in foster home because her mother could not take care of her. In year 1946 she changed her name to “ Marilyn Monroe”, as an artist name.

 Marilyn Monroe died unfortunately 5^th. August in 1962 early morning. Jack Clemmons (a police offer) got the message that Marilyn Monroe was dead. It came up that Marilyn died of an overdose of “sleeping pills”. It was also discusses about maybe she was murdered. She had it pretty hard with herself right before she died. Ages sixth largest film legend was Marilyn Monroe in 1999, she got the price of “The American film Institute”.

I think this task was a great thing to do. It was a good idea and has enjoyed it very much. We had about different themes each week which is so good. And I like to write about different cities and persons. So I’m very happy with this task, I liked it.

An historical event

There have been several historical events in US, but I choose to write about the twin tower that received injuries fly collision. The event happened 11. September in 2001.

When we count the events of fatalities and property damages is this event the most incudes local terrorist attack in the USA’s history.

It was four civilian aircraft which were hijacked by activists who came from Al-Qeada, they were on suicide missions. Two of the civilian planes crashed into the world trade center in New Work with only few minutes “space”. The third plane crashed in hover quarter the pentagon in Washington D.C, Washington is the capital of New York. The past plane went down in Pennsylvia.







In this attack, it was many, many people who died. 2973 people died. There were 246 people on board the aircraft, 2602 in the towers and on the ground of the World Trade Center and in Pentagon, it was 125 people who died. It’s still over 20 people who are missing today after this attack. Of all these 2973 people, it was 343 firefighters who died 23 police officers and 37 people who worked at New York’s Port Authority. Everything was a big, major damage, there were 35 buildings that were severely damaged by the attack, it was a church and two underground stations were also received injuries.

The terror attack lasted from 08.46-10.28, there were 5 people in each plane except the last plane, where it was four people. The hijackers were both from the UAE, Saudi- Arabia, Egypt and Lebanon.

The terrorist attack caused extensive damages for many billions, it was pretty big attack and there was plenty of news on the television for a long, long time.
